Introduction

Old Glast Heim as you might know it from renewal is no more and has been completely reworked for Project Alfheim. To access Old Glast Heim talk to the Mysterious Wanderer at glast_01358310. Keep in mind that you must be level 79 to enter. Old Glast Heim consists of 10 different maps, with a mix of maps designed for solo-play, and maps designed for party-play. In certain maps Enchant Deadly Poison and Asura Strike are less effective. Additionally, Star Gladiators cannot select any maps in Old Glast Heim nor trigger Miracle on them.

Temporal Boots are also introduced with Old Glast Heim. Find the requirements for these boots all throughout the different maps in Old Glast Heim.

Abbey

Abbey is a party map and is focused on the use of single-target skills, and therefore all AoE skills do 1 damage to the monsters. Additionally, the monsters have certain restrictions placed on them, as listed below, to encourage bringing different forms of DPS. Enchant Deadly Poison's effectiveness is reduced from 100% to 80%, and casting Asura Strike will reduce current SP by -75% and lock SP recovery for a few seconds. Elemental resistance is capped at 70% for any given element, and MDEF is also capped at 70.

  • Corrupted Bishop can only receive ranged physical damage.
  • Royal Clergy can only receive magic damage.
  • Royal Druid can only receive melee damage.
  • The damage type the Little Demon slaves can receive is the 2 types of damage that the slave masters cannot receive. Ex: Little Demons from Corrupted Bishop can only receive melee and magic damage.

Castle 1

Castle 1 is a party map designed for melee characters. Therefore, all the monsters on the map, except for the MVP, can only receive melee damage. Additionally, party size is restricted to 7 players. Enchant Deadly Poison's effectiveness is reduced from 100% to 80%, and casting Asura Strike will reduce current SP by -75% and lock SP recovery for a few seconds. All the mobs that drop Coagulated Spells will drop an extra roll if you have a full party of 7 unique people, and they are all on screen when the mob dies.

Castle 2

Castle 2 is a party map that plays similar to Bio Labs 3. Parties typically use a Wizard class or Rogue class to freeze the mobs using Storm Gust and then Champions Asura Strike to kill monsters with Professors providing SP to sustain Asura Strike. Enchant Deadly Poison's effectiveness is reduced from 100% to 80%.

Notes:

  • Stone Curse Resistance is recommended to tackle this content. Some example sources are: Imperial Clergy Robe[1] (30747) gives 50% resistance, Medusa Card provides immunity, or Stone Curse Resistance through Random Options.
  • Pneuma should be spammed as monsters will use deadly ranged attacks.

Chivalry 1

Chivalry 1 is primarily a solo map, however it can also be tackled as a small party. Loot is individual up to a maximum of 4 players. The map has a higher mob density compared to other solo maps in Old Glast Heim as it is the map designed for characters that are good at mobbing.

Notes:

  • Contaminated Raydric cast a field that applies Frozen status to the player if stepped in. Therefore, it is recommended to have Freeze immunity. Some example sources are: Marc Card or Freeze Resistance through Random Options.
  • Mobs will counter with Pneuma when trapped in Ankle Snare.

Notes:

  • Mutating Prisoner and Zombie Guard both cast Dark Jupitel Thunder (shadow element). It's recommended to use a Bathory Card to survive to dodge the skill.
  • Mutating Prisoner casts a field that inflicts Stone Curse and also casts Thunderstorm.
  • Zombie Guard casts a field that inflicts Sleep and also casts Heaven's Drive.
  • Mobs will counter with Pneuma when trapped in Ankle Snare.
  • Mobs will counter with Teleport when hit with Sharp Shooting or Meteor Storm.

Himmelmez Fight

Himmelmez has been introduced in Old Glast Heim as an MVP! The fight is completely custom and consists of 4 different phases. In the first 3 phases, she summons different versions of Amdarais that have to be taken down. These do not give any drops or experience. Lastly, she will face you herself, and if you take her down, you will be rewarded with experience and drops. To access the MVP fight a quest is required. The different versions of Amdarais have different restrictions placed on them to encourage bringing different forms of DPS.

  • Amdarais can only receive ranged physical damage.
  • Enraged Amdarais can only receive single-target magic damage.
  • Phantom Amdarais can only receive melee damage.
  • Every 1 Def grants Himmelmez and Amdarais 1% Damage Reduction, which can not be ignored or pierced (Spiral Pierce, Combat Knife, STR Temporals) but can be reduced (Fling, Eske..).
