MVP Instance System

Description

The MVP Instance System allows players to access content that generally was time, gear, or player restricted. Players who pay the material requirements or use MVP Tokens have a chance at the MVP's normal loot table and will receive an MVP Token for participating. Players may also enter an instance without paying but will not receive loot. Every MVP Instance requires different materials. The cooldown equals 2.9x the MVP's field spawn time (listed below).

On MVP maps, unless impractical, there is an NPC named Fruit. She will ask if your party would like to take on the Instance and if you would like to pay with the materials or use 10 MVP Tokens. Members must be in a party to create an instance, even if by themselves. Party members can then enter after the party leader creates the instance. To receive loot, members must pay as they enter the instance. All who pay will roll their own loot upon the MVP's death. There is no cost to join to help. Players on cooldown or who join to help will only receive EXP. EXP is substantially reduced for consecutively doing the same MVP instance.

The instances are clones of the maps the MVP normally spawns on. If an MVP has a fixed spawn it will spawn there. All monsters and map hazards exist on the cloned maps. Monsters in the instance give experience; however, none drop loot. You should go in, kill the MVP, and get out!

The @instancecd command checks your current cooldowns of MVP instances.

Limitations

Instance cooldowns are account and computer restricted. You may multi-client in an instance, but only one account can pay for and receive loot. MVP Cards do NOT drop in instances. The drop rate for Old Card Albums is 65% of their normal drop rates (ex. Mistress Instance OCA drop is 13% vice 20%). Loot drops at normal (field) rates, but MVP Reward drops do not exist. Mystical Card Albums are blacklisted entirely.

Biolabs 3 MVPs have unique restrictions:

• The six MVPs are selectable and share the same global 23-hour cooldown; you can only receive loot from one per day.
• You must defeat all individually to instance them again.
  • Ex: Defeating Eremes on day 1, requires defeating Seyren, Margaretha, Kaythrine, Cecil, and Howard before Eremes becomes available again.
• This restriction lasts indefinitely.
• Fruit just before the entrance to Bio Labs 3. Characters must meet the Bio Labs 3 base-level requirement to enter the instance.
