Today we finally unveil the new spotlight system we've been working on. This one is kind of convoluted to explain so these patch notes will spend most of their time explaining how it works. We'll also address the funneling/tapping changes later in the post and a few other major bug fixes/errors.

====Donating====

So how does donating work exactly? Well the goal is 3,500,000 zeny total for the entire server. This means total, not individual. You can donate as little or as much as you want towards this goal or do it all at once yourself if you want to unlock it quickly. Either way, once the goal has been met an announcement will be made server wide that the spotlight is unlocked.

====Unlocking the Spotlight====

Once the spotlight is unlocked the announcement given will notify that the maps/mobs associated with it will be reloaded so as to not startle players who may be farming a mob or pulling to a party. After 5 minutes the maps and mobs associated with reload. This does not affect MVP monsters. Once it is unlocked, it will be locked in for 3 days of bonuses. This includes the day it was unlocked. It is important to note that this is in SERVER actual days. So if the spotlight unlikes at 23:40 server time. that still counts as the first day. It is NOT 72 hours.

Every night at midnight server time 00:00 (19:00 EST), the spotlight will reroll the table.

          1 Field Map

          1 Dungeon (the entire dungeon)

          1 Low HP Mob (3050 HP or less)

          1 Mid HP Mob (Between 3050-15000 HP)

          1 High HP Mob (15000 HP or more)

Once the zeny goal is met and the spotlight is unlocked the dungeon, field map, and mobs will all be reloaded. They will have 50% increased spawns and EXP rate for the duration of the spotlight. These DO NOT stack. So if a mob is in a dungeon and one of the mobs chosen it will not be more than 50% exp and spawn rate. Example: Raydric and Glast Heim is still only 50% more spawns and exp for Raydrics.

====Ending the Spotlight====

Once the 3 days are up, at midnight of the third day another warning will be given that the spotlight is ending and the mobs are being reloaded once again to their normal values. Another spotlight will take then take its place to be unlocked.

====What if we don't meet our goal?====

If the goal is not met by midnight, despite donations from players, the spotlight will re-roll and the zeny value will be reset. Unfortunately this is the one drawback to the system so if you really want to ensure its unlocked make sure you donate enough to get it done by midnight server time. (0:00)

==Tapping and EXP Changes==

With the Spotlight system, came some other changes. Tapping EXP bonus is now disabled when "each take" is set in party. Party share must be on for players to receive the EXP bonus. Additionally with the increase to EXP because of the spotlight and the spawn changes, HE Manuals have been removed from the Silvervine shop. HE Manuals were originally added in with launch to be balanced without the potential EXP and spawn increases. With all these other changes, HE Manuals would simply be unhealthy in our opinion so we removed them. There may be a replacement coming for them eventually, but we're still debating that.

When you go to the NPC or type @spotlight you will see numbers in parentheses. These numbers mean how much the category is buffed. For example you may see Comodo Fields as a region so it says Comodo (7) This means all Comodo Field monsters are buffed by 7%. You may also see Medium (10). This means all medium-sized monsters are buffed by 10% exp. These buffs STACK.

==Bug Fixes==

Notes:

* Anubis and MVPs are excluded from the spotlight.

1.) The Mass Brew blue potions skill was bugged to be succeeding at a WAY higher rate than intended, so now its fixed to calculate properly.
+
* Only monsters in the dungeon or on the field are affected, if they spawn elsewhere those are not affected.

2.) Earth Deleter card no longer works with our sitting regen. Sitting regen should not work with skills/items that disable natural regen so this was a given.

* Spotlight stacks with battle manuals, daily exp buff, and [[Mental Sensing]]

To access the spotlight system NPC you can either talk to the NPC in the main office or use the command @spotlight to access him from anywhere. This will reveal the rolled spotlights available to unlock or the ones ongoing if it is already locked in.

How the Spotlight Works

Every night at midnight server time 00:00 (19:00 EST), the spotlight will reroll the table.

         2 Regions (all field maps in this region)
         2 Dungeons (the entire dungeon)
         2 Elements (if a monster is either element, it is buffed)
         2 Race (if a monster is either race, it is buffed)
         1 Size (small/medium/large)

When you go to the NPC or type @spotlight you will see numbers in parentheses. These numbers mean how much the category is buffed. For example you may see Comodo Fields as a region so it says Comodo (7) This means all Comodo Field monsters are buffed by 7%. You may also see Medium (10). This means all medium-sized monsters are buffed by 10% exp. These buffs STACK.

Notes:

  • Anubis and MVPs are excluded from the spotlight.
  • Only monsters in the dungeon or on the field are affected, if they spawn elsewhere those are not affected.
  • Spotlight stacks with battle manuals, daily exp buff, and Mental Sensing
