So smaller update this time, but quite a bit to unpack. The server has grown wildly so we've had to make some adjustments. Let's get into it!

New Market Maps

As the server has grown we actually ran out of vendor spots at 750, so we've added THREE clones of the market_sak map.

Two of them are used the same way as the original market_sak and are for selling items.

You can swap between them by talking to Shiki.

There's additionally a Buy Shop map (market_sakb) that is for setting up...you guessed it: Buy shops. This is the only place you can set up a buy shop now and we've bug fixed the black market buy shops so you can't use them outside of this map either. (sorry, Owl)

Field MVP Instance Race System

So our MVP Instance system has been a success, and field mvps are still seeing a lot of action too. Unfortunately as our popularity has grown competition has gotten a bit toxic. Players are routinely griefing each other to compete and despite my best intentions with the rules, its just taking too much of my time to enforce the rules. I could hand out bans non stop, but I feel MVP competition is really petty and minor in the grand scheme of things. So we're moving forward with a new system! (shout out to my boy Snow for the idea on this one)

MVPs no longer spawn in the field. Instead, when they would normally have spawned an NPC near the normal MVP instance npc will appear. This NPC looks like the MVP when it is alive, and it looks functions as the MVPs tomb when it is dead. It even shows you how much time is left until the MVP respawns instead of just a time of death. (no more math)

Field MVP Instances function differently than regular MVP instances. These are a race. Anyone can enter and they don't have a cost. However, you won't get any loot, there aren't individual loot rolls (with only the original exceptions like Randgris and Ifrit from previous patches), and the card does drop in these instances. On the individual loot exceptions the card will still only roll once to the killer.

Only the first group to kill the MVP will get loot, an announcement will be made that a group has finished the instance and killed the MVP first and end everyones instances and warp everyone out after 5 minutes.

So again, this functions more as a race than direct competition. You can also check how long a group has been in their instance and what the health of the MVP is at in their instance if you aren't sure if you even want to start the instance or not yourself!

Entire goal of this system is to keep the spirit of fair competition but completely eliminate opportunity for toxic griefing.

Cooldown on field MVPs is the same as their old Field Respawns.

WOE Rotation and God Items Rework

For this rotation, all castles are being closed except the new castle: Payon 2! (bottom right pay_gld) and the WOE warper has been updated to ONLY include this warper.

Since there is only one castle, only two of the guild dungeons will temporarily be available, but fear not, after two weeks we will evaluate how many more castles to open based on participation. So if you plan on doing WOE at all in the future, just show up in the next two weeks even if its just a meme. Seriously, we need to know who is interested so we can accurately put time into setting up more castles.

God Item Rework/Rebalance

Additionally God Items have been reworked.


        Megingjard: 40 STR > 20 STR, 800 Weight > 400 Weight
        Mjolnir: 40 DEX > 20 DEX, 15 STR > 20 STR, 250 ATK > 300 ATK
        Brisingamen: 0 DEX > 4 DEX
        Sleipnir: 0 INT > 10 INT, 350 Weight > 100 Weight


Not only we will have God Items, but they are being shifted around in power. Meg/Mjolnir were standouts in vanilla with Sleipnir and Brisingamen really showing their age with time. By shifting power away from Megs and Mjolnir and buffing Brisingamen and Sleipnir I hope to make all of them equally appealing while ensuring that no one piece is overloaded.

How To Acquire God Items

God Items seals quest are removed entirely. In their place we've reworked Okolnir. Every active castle will have the NPC to help you do the Quest in Okolnir. It works exactly the same way it does for WOE SE except the following:

1.) No longer need to econ a castle.

2.) Okolnir maps no longer tied to which castle you own, can run from a WOE FE castle.

3.) Loot/EXP drops removed except crystal key from garden keepers. keys are also fully tradeable.

4.) Upon finishing the quest by defeating Wish Maiden you will summon the Wish Dwarf who will grant you one wish. Either to go to the underground Laboratory to make WOE FE items or meet the Wish Maiden to make WOE SE items. WOE SE isn't in this update, so for now you'll just choose the underground laboratory.


All God Items still have their vanilla requirements to make in Okolnir, but their drops will be replaced with 4 new currencies moving forward. Essence of Frigg and Essence of Odin for WOE FE.

Each WOE FE God item will require 28 Frigg essence and 21 Odin essence to make in total with each vanilla piece having varying requirements of Frigg and Essence.

Each WOE SE God item will require 5 Essence of Loki and 5 Essence of Thor. Each will come from Juno or Rachel castles respectively.

Existing God Item pieces will only cost 1 to make in this calculation so existing guilds dont have a super big headstart and the God Item pieces acquired so far are the equivalent of getting an essence of Frigg or Odin.


Goal of this was to make God Items realistic to obtain, but a bit grindier since all the castles will be normalized moving forward and you won't need to econ specific castles anymore.

Emperium Changes

Base HP: 68k > 150k

VIT: 80 > 335

This means our emperium functions like the Emperium on iRO classic did back in the day making it a bit bulkier in its base and more resistant to ice pick.


New Command: @protect

So people often report that their items get stolen by people they give their accounts out too. Ideally we'd have protections in place by default with master account system, but until then you get the master account system at home.

This command will allow you to set a personal password for your entire account. You will have to enter it twice to confirm, then enter this command again.

Upon entering twice you can then choose to change settings. you can active them one by or choose to activate all then turn some restrictions off one by one. The list is kinda extensive so just go check it out.


Bug Fixes and Changes

1.) Plant Cultivate no longer is useable on maps where individual loot rolls.

2.) Hugel Medal exchange NPCs put back in, the mini games are still gone. This is just so people can at least use their existing medals.

3.) Bard/Dancer classes can no longer change Gender in the main office.

4.) Vending should no longer bug out and prevent you from opening a shop randomly.

5.) Pets that give % ATK now give proper percentage damage.

6.) Backsliding now works in PVP room.

Expanded Rework??? BRO COME ON

Chill, its coming along. I'm 75% done with Night Watch and am just about ready to move to Soul Ascetic. I'll have more preview for you guys in the coming weeks.

And yes, Card Captor Sakura IS coming, and yes Old Glast Heim is coming and so is episode 13. Just give me time. Also please run your damn patcher and stop wsking about Pori EXP. Thank you.
