After a long wait, Episode 13 is finally here. This concludes all of the vanilla content in pre-re! This means all content moving forward will be treated as custom and adjusted from renewal and/or just be entirely custom! Shout out to all the people who have played this long and have helped us survive until this point. We've finally lasted through all the normal content the game has to offer and can focus on bringing purely new and exciting things you have never experienced before. That said, there's still a lot to unpack in this episode and some changes were made.

Brasilis

Brasilis is the only one of the new contents that has gotten heavily overhauled. Its a bit too much to go into, but drops, exp, skills, etc are all completely custom and I treated it as a custom renewal content.

Brasilis Fields

Brasilis Fields should be good for early to mid leveling for total newbies to the server as its similar to Lasagna Dungeon 1, but encourages different damage types to breeze through the maps (ranged/melee/magic).

Here's you'll find great starter weapons to upgrade your paradise weapons from right off the bat and hopefully get a good start to the server to help you get going!

Brasilis Dungeon

Brasilis Dungeon still requires its quest to enter vanilla and there is no skip so go get flushed down a toilet. (literally thats what happens in the quest).

Brasilis Dungeon difficulty was raised slightly but should still be quite easy for Alfheim standards.

New World

New world has gotten a few adjustments to make getting to it and around it much easier. For one, the initial quest to get to mid_camp is now skippable for a fee of zeny in prt_castle (83, 67) at its normal starting point.

You still have the option to do the quest normally as well if you so wish.

If you choose to skip an npc will warp you straight to mid_camp where you can use the warp unlocker upon arrival. This NPC is just above the quest NPC in the prt_castle.

Let's talk about the other changes though.

Field Maps to Manuk and Splendide

These maps usually require you to do a series of quests once you arrive in mid_camp to enter the maps respectively related to their quest lines.

Now, those quests are optional, but still able to be done if you want, but you can enter the maps freely through the portals. You'll find the quest npcs near the warp portals where the npcs previously used to sit.

This means if you pay to skip to New World you can immediately begin killing monsters.

Nydhoggur's Nest and Sealed Shrine

Nydhoggur's Nest is mostly vanilla, but there's also a skip to get into the dungeon and start the instances when you find your way to the door.

The warp portal that takes you into the tree at spl_fild01 375/109 will prompt you to skip the quest if you so wish. Doing so will grant you the ring of the wise king and allow you to start up the instance once you find your way through the dungeon.

Note that this does not warp you straight to the door of yggdrasil, you will still have to navigate your way to the door vanilla style upon skipping. However, once you get there once there is a warp unlocker for you. This means there is also a warp directly to nyd_dun02.

Sealed Shrine is also mostly vanilla with a drop rate nerf to the Cursed Baphomet Doll to account for the below individual loot changes.

MVP Instance Individual Loot

Unlike other MVP Instances or Endless Tower, Nydhoggur's Nest is ONLY individual loot for MVPs. This means the card rolls only once to the killer and everyone will always roll their own loot. However, there is no cost!

The cooldown should be the normal 3 days for Nydhoggur's Nest and 12 hours for Sealed Shrine.

War of Emperium: SE

War of Emperium SE is finally here and that means starting this week we will end this WOE rotation to start the new one. That means existing castles will be empties on friday night and warps removed and the new ones added.

War of Emperium SE will be on Saturdays at the current WOE: FE time. and WOE FE will be the same time but on sunday instead.

Guild Cap and Skill Adjustments

Guilds are now capped at 40 for both War of Emperium SE and FE.

The castles will now check how many members of your guild have entered castle and kick out anyone past 40 back to their save point. Alliances have been cleared and also disabled as well.

While this is a loose cap (meaning I'm not going to be caring if people do a few out of guild members to make things work, some things were changed to discourage this so we will be monitoring those who try to circumvent the cap with out of guild members on things they don't need to out of guild anymore.

Mind Break can now be cast on guild members in War of Emperium. This means your Mind Breaker will count towards your guild cap.

Due to time constraints we couldn't find a clean solution for sniper bridging so we're just going to allow it out of guild and monitor guilds if they try to abuse this by bringing many out of guild members to bridge. We are also allowing out of guild provokers due to time constraints on figuring out how to allow it to cast on allies. For now it only can be cast from out of guild.

However, a few out of guild members for the sake of bridging and provoking will be allowed since theres no other alternative and we don't really want to shake things up on such short notice.

Note that we ARE considering removing Mind Break and Provoke on allies in the future as well for the sake of balance, but now is not the time for that and that will be discussed again in the future. For the forseeable future this is how it will work.

Castle Rotations

WOE SE Castles: Yuno 1/Rachel 3.

WOE FE Castles: Payon 4/Prontera 3/Geffen 5/Alde 5

God Items Pieces

WOE SE Castles will now be the only way to get the WOE FE god pieces and make their items respectively, but any items previously acquired still count as normal.

WOE FE Castles will now be the only way to get the WOE SE god pieces (asprika/brynhild) and make their items respectively.

For SE each castle has the ability to get an essence of Frigg or Odin.

For FE, Payon 4 and Prontera 3 are the Loki and Thor essences that are tied to the WOE SE god pieces.

Field MVP Instance Removal

Field MVP Instances were a neat addition for toxic field comp and successfully reduced toxicity, but ultimately proved unnecessary on the majority of mvps. As such we're removing the vast majority of them. Only Beelzebub, Bio 3, Gloom Under Night, Wounded Morocc, Ifrit, Valkryie Randgris, and Death Witch all retain their Field Instance MVP format.

Kraken is now in the field but still rolls individual MVP loot for the party to entice you byalan kids to still kill him in the field.

Other Adjustments

1.) Byalan 6 (iz_dun05) mobs exp, drops all lowered by around 10-15% across the board. Additionally King Dramoh and Pot Dofle now both cast level 5 Defender on Idle.

2.) Niflheim Dungeon 1/2 (nif_dun01/nif_dun02)- Blue Moon Loli Ruri changed to level 3 Water and Brutal Murdered changed to level 3 Fire. This is to hopefully entice dps outside of wizard using only meteor storm for the map.

3.) Bug Fix: Spider Web now properly ignores GTB card effect and will affect a wearer.

4.) Bug Fix: Ka spells now properly cannot be cast on GTB card wearers.

5.) Bug Fix: Well-Chewed Pencil now properly gives 3 HIT instead of 3% Hit

6.) Bug Fix: Cards that give resist to monsters of a specific element like Les Card now work properly instead of giving you straight up elemental resist to that element.

7.) Paradise Tutorial now gives the player 200 anchovies to start out with when they complete the tutorial and get their paradise gear set. Can of Anchovies/Anchovies lowered to 0 sell cost appropriately.

8.) Bounty Quest's Silvervine rewards lowered by 10-20% across the board, event currency removed.

9.) thana_scene adjusted to allow you to actually walk to the tower to enter it. Pretty meme, but hey. let me have this.

Other Important Notes

New World Mobs are not yet in OCA/MCA and will be put in a much smaller follow up patch. (not tonight)

Mini Summer Event

While I can't do a full Summer Event right now, I did bring back beach prontera and the beach drinks NPC to get free buffs with your leftover sweets festival coins from the previous event.

You can find the drinks npc at Prontera 108/240.

And 9 new costumes are available with Airi in the main office that were previously available as part of last years summer event.


Old Glast Heim When?

Old Glast Heim has increased in scope even further and is going to take a few more weeks at minimum to polish up. As such sit tight, its coming along beautifully and feedback from the playtest team so far seems that everyone is having a lot of fun with it. We'll have more details soon on when this will be released. In the mean time, just enjoy New World and be patient!
