Description

Grand Cross is a 2nd class offensive skill available as Crusader and Paladin. It summons a cross around the caster, damaging the caster and enemies with Holy property waves. The skill lasts for 0.9 seconds, during which time the caster is immobilized. Grand Cross has a unique formula that makes use of both ATK and MATK, though technically it is considered a magic damage skill. It also damages the caster and consumes 20% current HP on every cast. Additionally, it has a 100% base chance to blind Demon race and Undead element monsters.

Skill Level Damage Ratio SP cost
1 140% 37
2 180% 44
3 220% 51
4 260% 58
5 300% 65
6 340% 72
7 380% 79
8 420% 86
9 460% 93
10 500% 100

Damage

The skill has a unique damage formula that looks like this:

Damage = (ATK damage + MATK damage) * Damage Ratio
  • The ATK damage is calculated from base ATK, where DEF reduction is then applied, and refine bonus is added.
    • As a result, cards or equipment that increases physical damage by a percentage do not affect Grand Cross.
    • Mastery damage also does not affect Grand Cross damage.
    • Weapon ATK and cards, items, or skills that increase ATK by a set amount DO affect Grand Cross.
  • The MATK damage is calculated following standard magic damage calculation.
    • Since Grand Cross is technically considered a magic damage skill, cards that increase magic damage by a percentage DO affect Grand Cross.

The damage dealt to the caster can be calculated in 2 parts.

Part 1:

  • The damage dealt to the caster is based on damage done to targets. It is of Holy element from Demi Human race. Therefore damage can be reduced with Holy and Demi Human resistances, DEF, and MDEF. On the otherhand, wearing Shadow or Undead armor increases the damage done to the caster.
  • The damage dealt to the caster is also halved after calculating reductions from Holy element and Demi Human.

Part 2:

  • 20% current HP is lost every cast regardless of reductions. It is the cost of using Grand Cross.

Notes

  • Grand Cross ALWAYS hits the maximum number of times on Alfheim, regardless of monster stacking.
  • Grand Cross does not work when wearing a Golden Thief Bug Card.
