Quality of Life Changes and Customizations

With AlfheimRO, we understand that many RO players simply do not have the time to grind out the game like they used to. Further, as players got better at the game, they began to break it to the point where it was less fun for many. Specifically, multi-clienting is a divisive topic in the community with many feeling like it is mandatory if it is not hard-restricted. However, hard restricting multi-client in our experience has not led to many more players playing together and is simply an artificial restriction. Further, it feels bad for the players who may simply enjoy going hard when they play solo. As such, we don't restrict multi-clienting.

However, that doesn't mean we can't help bridge the gap between those who are comfortable with multi-clienting and those who are not. A player who does not wish to multi-client should not feel like it is mandatory to keep up with the other players. It is impossible to fully bridge this gap as a hardcore player who is willing to go all out will always have an advantage over those who don't. However, we do attempt to bridge the gap as much as we can without breaking the game. We can't give players everything without working for it, but we have added many features with the explicit goal of making it feel less mandatory to multi-client. We expect some players to still do this, but those who choose not to shouldn't feel bad about their decision anymore.

With that bit of insight into our server vision and the reason behind our changes let's get into the actual changes themselves. Each section will have a brief explanation of the change as well as an animated example of what it looks like in game.

Increased Sitting Regen

When a player is out of combat for 5 seconds, having not been hit a mob they will enable massively increased regen. Upon sitting a player will regen 3% Max HP/SP per second. This is a fixed percentage and not a flat value so it will always take about 33 seconds to regen to full from nothing. This does NOT work while overweight, but WILL work to bypass some skill exclusive restrictions like Asura Strike's 5 minute SP cooldown lock out.

Custom Inns

On AlfheimRO, Inns are essential. Using an Inn works as normal: fully refreshing HP/SP. However, it now also gives the player max level Increase AGI/Blessing buffs for a duration of 20 minutes. Additionally all Inns have been adjusted to include a Kafra storage NPC, a Warper to WOE Castles, and a Repairman. This is so guilds can WOE out of any town they want.

Most major towns have had an Inn added if they did not have one. Below you will find a list of towns that have Inns:

1.) Prontera (East and West sides)

2.) Morocc (South and North)

3.) Geffen

4.) Alberta

5.) Izlude (custom)

6.) Aldebaran

7.) Lutie (custom)

8.) Comodo (custom)

9.) Yuno (custom)

10.) Amatsu (custom)

11.) Gonryun (custom)

12.) Louyang (custom)

13.) Ayothaya (custom)

14.) Einbroch

15.) Lighthalzen

NOTE: As content progresses forward, every major town will have these same changes. If you do not see a town listed it is because it was released after our launch. Important to note that the one town that does not have an Inn is Umbala. This was simply because there was a distinct lack of space in Umbala.

Uniform Kafra Warps and Tool Dealers

Kafras normally make you warp individually from to town with only a few immediately nearby locations available. If you want to travel from Prontera to say Umbala you will have to make multiple warps to get there. We changed this by simply calculating the cost all at once and allowing you to warp to any town a Kafra can warp you to normally. Quite simply, every Kafra can warp you to any other Kafra warp location.

Additionally, all towns have at least one major tool dealer (usually the most accessible) who sell all the major items players use.

Arrows, Iron Arrows, Silver Arrows, Fire Arrows, and Traps are now not location exclusive.

The same applies for Berserk Potions, Yggdrasil Leaf, and Blue Gemstones.
