Intensive Aim Info.gif
Type: Passive/Supportive Skill
Levels: 1
Prerequisites
In order to gain this skill, the player has to complete a quest.

Description

Intensive Aim is an expanded class quest passive/supportive skill available as Night Watch. It utilizes all five types of guns to provide varying combinations of buffs as well as a large buff when fully stacked that augments specific skills. When using a skill with a gun you will gain a "mastery" buff depending on which gun you used.

Gun masteries

For example, you use Desperado with a Revolver and gain the "Revolver Mastery" buff. This buff will not affect Revolver skills and will only affect other guns while it is active. This buff remains active until you swap to another gun and use one of the listed skills with the new gun.

Once the new gun's skill is used the old mastery is consumed and replaced by the new gun's mastery. The new gun's skill that was used also gains a 25% damage increase and 50% cast delay for that cast. The old mastery (in this case Revolver Mastery) then becomes "fatigued" and cannot be used again until either 45 seconds have passed or all 5 masteries have been utilized.

This means it's always faster to stack Intensive Aim by utilizing all 5 guns rather than swapping between one or two. However, you can still stack it if you are willing to wait out the cooldown.

Below you will find the combinations and how they augment the other skills/guns.

Revolver Mastery

Gained by using Desperado or Rapid Shower.

Shotgun Mastery

Gained by using Full Buster, Dust, or Spread Attack (Dust/Spread Attack do not benefit from other masteries and only serve as a combo starter).

Gatling Gun Mastery

Gained by using Rapid Fire or Gatling Berserk.

Rifle Mastery

Gained by using Tracking or Mass Spiral.

Grenade Launcher Mastery

Gained by using Hasty Fire in the Hole, Basic Grenade, and Mission Bombard (Mission Bombard does not benefit from masteries and only serves as a combo starter)

  • Tracking: Gain 10% CRIT damage for the next cast.
  • Rapid Fire: Does 3x3 splash damage around the first target each bullet hits.
  • Desperado: Deals 10% more damage for the next cast.
  • Rapid Shower: Slows the enemy by 75% for 2 seconds upon hitting them.
  • Mass Spiral: Deals 10% more damage.
  • Full Buster: Has a 50% chance to stun the enemy upon hitting them.

Intensive Aim stacks

After consuming a mastery, a stack of Intensive Aim is gained, which is displayed as gold bullet on the right side of the character. This can stack up to 10 times, and can be consumed at either 5~9 stacks or 10 stacks. Until these are consumed, each stack grants a 2% physical damage buff, totaling up to 20% more physical damage. This damage works similarly to a card-type modifier like Hydra Card, thus being multiplicative with other modifiers. Changing maps or logging out, however, will completely reset all the player's Intensive Aim stacks.

To use your Intensive Aim stacks you can activate the skill like any other and then use another corresponding skill that is eligible for an Intensive Aim effect.

When you do this, your Intensive Aim stacks are immediately consumed and lost, however, if you activated Intensive Aim with a full 10 stacks then you will maintain the 20% physical damage buff for 60 seconds. With enough rotations and active gameplay, it is possible to permanently keep up your 20% physical damage buff by constantly reapplying Intensive Aim.

Note that the 20% physical damage buff does not stack with itself during the 60 seconds after using Intensive Aim. Any stacks you gain will be tracked, but until the 60 seconds are up, it will not increase your damage any further than the 20% cap.

Gaining AP

AP is a new type of resource that Night Watch has to unleash their Limit Break skill, Slug Shot. This skill is taught at the same time as Intensive Aim and can only be cast once you have full AP.

  • Casting an Intensive Aim buffed skill at 5~9 stacks will grant 25% of the necessary AP to cast Slug Shot (50 AP).
  • Casting an Intensive Aim buffed skill at a full 10 stacks will grant 50% of the necessary AP to cast Slug Shot (100 AP).
  • AP is not lost on map change, like Intensive Aim stacks are.

Stacked Intensive Aim Effects

Once you have 5+ Intensive Aim stacks, you can consume these to give buffs to certain skills for a short period of time. This can be done by activating the skill (simply using it). When you do this all your stacks are consumed and depending on how many stacks you have the effects of the skill you use will be different. Note that only some skills can be buffed by the active portion of this skill.

Below you can see how Intensive Aim affects these skills.

Grenade Launcher Hasty Fire in the Hole 50% DEF Pierce and AoE is increased by 2 cells. Same as 5~9 Stacks, but also gain 50% cast delay on this skill for 5 seconds.
