Description

Magnus Exorcismus is a 2nd class offensive skill available as Priest and High Priest. It summons a holy cross on the ground that deals Holy property magic damage to any enemies that stand in its effect. Every wave hits the enemy for 100% MATK. Each cast consumes 1 Blue Gemstone.

Magnus Exorcismus, Holy Light, and Judex combo

A combo between Magnus Exorcismus, Holy Light, and Judex was added, which can make Holy Light and Judex AoE a certain number of casts. The combo goes like this:

  • Lay down a Magnus Exorcismus. On every wave it applies a status to all mobs hit by it (SC_JUDEXMAGNUS).
    • The status' duration is until the Magnus Exorcismus disappears OR it's consumed by Holy Light.
    • Judex's bonus damage vs Demon or Undead MVPs is doubled if the MVP has the SC_JUDEXMAGNUS status (Judex does not consume this status).
    • Holy Light's bonus holy magic damage is doubled if the monster has the SC_JUDEXMAGNUS status (you do not have to reapply this, as Holy Light consumes the status).
  • When using Holy Light on any mob with SC_JUDEXMAGNUS, the Holy Light becomes a 11x11 AoE around the targetted monster. The targetted monster takes full damage, while the others take 35%. This removes SC_JUDEXMAGNUS on all the monsters and applies a new status, SC_MAGNUSHOLYLIGHT.
  • When using Judex on any mob with SC_MAGNUSHOLYLIGHT, the Judex becomes a 11x11 AoE around the targetted monster. The targetted monster takes full damage, while the others take 35%. This removes SC_MAGNUSHOLYLIGHT on all the monsters and applies a new status, SC_JUDEX.
  • When Magnus Exorcismus hits any enemy with SC_JUDEX, it's duration is doubled (this can only be done once per Magnus Exorcismus unit).
    • Technically the duration is not doubled but another Magnus Exorcismus is placed in the same location when the first one ends. This new Magnus Exorcismus however cannot be "duplicated".
  • TLDR: Magnus Exorcismus wave hit -> Holy Light -> Judex -> Magnus Exorcismus wave hit -> Holy Light -> Judex -> Magnus Exorcismus wave hit -> Holy Light -> Judex -> repeat repeat.

Notes

  • Anything hit by Magnus Exorcismus becomes immune to the skill for three seconds; thus, the maximum output against an enemy is 5 full "waves" of damage (or 50 hits) after the cast.
  • Magnus Exorcismus does not deal damage while the user is stunned.
  • Magnus Exorcismus originally only dealt damage to Demon race and Undead element monsters, but was changed on Project Alfheim to be able to hit all targets.
