1. Talk to Boshu {{navi|que_ng|28|50}} in the Ninja Guild in [[Amatsu]] (147,136). He'll ask you to bring him a {{item|id=2102 Guard[1]}}.

2. After bringing him the Guard [1], Boshu will examine it (but will not take it from you), then offer to create a slotted version of the Arm Guard if you give him 1 {{item|id=2102 Guard[1]}}, 1 {{item|id=2117 Arm Guard <nowiki>[0]</nowiki>}}, and 10,000 Zeny. (Arm Guard [0]s can be bought from Boonray in the Ninja Guild's supply room.)
